Where Does Brock Lesnar Rank Amongst the All-Time Greats in WWE?

When you think of the all-time greats in wrestling, who comes to mind? Is it the “Immortal” Hulk Hogan with the red and yellow running through his veins? Is it the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair with “Woos” echoing each arena? Maybe it’s the “Excellence of Execution,” Bret “Hitman” Hart when he’s not b******* about Goldberg? It could be Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, the Rock, or the “Goat,” the never-seen 17, John Cena.

The list could go on and on, but there is one thing that you can’t deny, and that is that Brock Lesnar deserves to be in the same realm as them. Lesnar had a similar aura to the Undertaker in the sense that his intimidation would put fear in his opponents’ eyes.

Brock is a Legitimate Beast

You may not like some of his personal choices, but there is no denying that Brock Lesnar is one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time! According to JBL, as Mr. Perfect once said, “he is what Hitler had in mind!” In a world that used to rely on kayfabe, the “Beast Incarnate” may be the most believable wrestler to ever step into sports entertainment.

One of many standouts from the OVW class of 2002, Brock Lesnar quickly made his impact in WWE. With his quick rise to the top, with a little help from his “Advocate,” Paul Heyman, Lesnar became the youngest WWE Champion in history. His mark on the industry would hit early, and his aura would last his entire career.

In the world of over-the-top characters and goofy gimmicks, the “Beast” would prove to be a badass inside the squared circle and the octagon. After leaving WWE, Lesnar would try his hand on the gridiron, never playing football before, and was the final player cut from the Minnesota Vikings roster.

When football didn’t work out, he entered the brutal world of UFC and left quite the impression in the octagon. This wasn’t your “CM Punk experiment” where he lost a couple of matches just to prove he could do it. He quickly became a dominant UFC Champion.

Like It or Not, Lesnar is One of the Greats

Brock Lesnar may be the most legitimate WWE superstar of all time! In a world of people calling the sports entertainment events “fake,” Lesnar could be the most legit wrestler that has ever stepped into the ring. Not only does he present himself as a threat to everyone in the WWE Universe, he goes out and proves it.

Wrestling fans often got mad with Lesnar being a “part-timer,” but his presence was felt in every comeback! The most legit wrestler since Kurt Angle, the former NCAA Champion, could whoop a** in a real or “staged” fight. Brock was treated like an attraction in the creative’s eyes, and he deserved it!

The guy wasn’t needed on a week-to-week basis to tell an amazing story. His rivalries with John Cena, Roman Reigns, and breaking the Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak will mark his proper place in wrestling history!

Final Thoughts

Throughout wrestling history, there have been a ton of badasses who laced up the boots for our entertainment. You can argue that Brock Lesnar is the baddest and most convincing of them all! His willingness to sell for his opponents and do business the right way should also be mentioned.

On a business that was built on “big bad monsters,” like Andre the Giant, One Man Gang, King Kong Bundy, Sid, and others, the “Beast” should rank at the top of the list when it comes to believability and credibility. This may not be the last time we see Brock, but most likely, we have seen his last WrestleMania moment.
